Bishop Thomas C Fouhy was born in New Zealand in 1908 and was ordained in 1943. He worked in Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain and the United States. He briefly left the priesthood after the changes introduced by Vatican II and its aftermath and was married for a brief period of time. After his divorce, Fouhy decided to return to the active practice of the priesthood as a traditional priest. He performed a public penance due to this lapse – and carried a large cross throughout the length of New Zealand. He is the author of The Challenge of Truth and contributed to The Destruction of the Christian Tradition . Fouhy was responsible for teaching many in the United States the proper manner of saying the Tridentine Mass and traveled throughout the world in defense of the Traditional Catholic Faith. He was consecrated in the Thuc line in France in 1993 and subsequently functioned as a traditional Catholic Bishop. He died in 2007.
