Here, the late Dr. William Stoddart notes Guénon’s and Schuon’s emphasis on the necessity of orthodox religions for those seeking to participate in a “religio perennis.” In his listing of the major orthodox religions, Stoddart does not mention Judaism, although it is clearly included in the considerations of both Guénon and Schuon. He did not include it presumably because neither of these authors addressed it with the same frequency as they did the others mentioned by Stoddart.
