M. Ali Lakhani opens the 2006 Sacred Web Conference “Tradition in the Modern World”

M. Ali Lakhani organized the 2006 Sacred Web Conference “Tradition in the Modern World.” This is a video of his remarks opening the conference. The Sacred Web Conference on “Tradition in the Modern World” was held September 23-24, 2006 in Edmonton, Canada. It was, according to keynote speaker Seyyed Hossein Nasr, one of the most important conferences on Tradition (often called “Perennialism”) within recent decades. People from all over the world attended talks from many of the most the most respected names in traditionalist/perennialist studies, as well as a new generation of thinkers. M. Ali Lakhani is an author, editor, and lawyer whose published work focuses on metaphysics and the perennial principles found in the wisdom traditions of the world. Ali Lakhani founded the traditionalist journal, “Sacred Web” in 1998, which is one of the most respected journals on the Perennial Philosophy within recent decades.
