Long Description: A stage in the process of the Bodhisattva becoming Buddha whereby he cannot backslide; the stage of non-retrogression where Enlightenment is guaranteed. In Pure Land thought it is to be attained in the future with our birth in the Pure Land. For Shinran it becomes a reality at the moment that we experience true entrusting in Amida Buddha’s Vow.
