Long Description: The Sukhavati-vyuha Sutra which gives an account of Dharmakara (Jap. Hozo) Bodhisattva’s Vows and his eventual fulfillment of them. The central Sutra for Shinran and part of a threefold complex of Sutras which in­clude the Sutra of Contemplation and the Smaller Pure Land Sutra, which describes the Pure Land in detail. The title of the Sutra appears in various forms: Sutra of Adornment of the Realm of Bliss, Sutra of Immeasurable Life, or Sutra of Limitless Life.
